Friday August 28.  There have been several reports of grizzly bears throughout Elkford.  The family of three bears are actually brown colored black bears, which could be easily mistaken as grizzlies.  You can tell by the shape of the ears and the snout.

Help keep our neighbourhoods safe for bears and people.  Remember to keep your garbage indoors until collection day, pick all ripe fruit and take it to the transfer station, bear proof your property and thanks for helping your neighbours, family and friends do the same.
