Time to start thinking about your garbage

It won’t be long now before the bears are up and about, in fact, in some areas, there will already be bears poking around. If you manage your garbage and other attractants correctly they will have no reason to come into your yard or your neighbourhood.

Spring is the best opportunity we have to prevent bears from learning bad habits by ensuring that our properties are free of attractants (unsecured garbage, dirty BBQ’s and bird feeders).   If bears get the upper hand early by feeding in our back yards, it will be hard to make them wild again.Image
