Report wildlife conflict

Please help us prevent human/wildlife conflict by reporting all wildlife sightings and bear incidents to the 24 hour toll free Conservation Officer Hotline on 1-877-952-RAPP (7277).

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this information. It is valuable data that helps record the movements and numbers of local bear populations, enabling us to better protect the public and ultimately prevent the needless destruction of bears.

Why report a sighting?

✔  WildsafeBC Coordinators monitor the movements and numbers of local bears and direct our public education initiatives to frequently-visited areas

✔ Reports are made publicly available on WildSafeBC’s Wildlife Alert Reporting Program .  This reminds other trail users that they need to take precautions like carrying bear spray and making noise to avoid a surprise encounter.

✘  Reporting a bear in your neighbourhood does not mean it will get shot – it means a WildSafeBC Coordinator can speak to residents, remove attractants and stop the bear developing a garbage habit.

Thank you for helping keep wildlife wild and communites safe.
